| Man spring break was so busy...lets recap
I went to New Orleans with APO and others from UIC. It was an amazing experience that I'm glad I didn't pass up. After 18 months, there is still A LOT of work to be doen down there. The politics of the whole situation is really irritating, but what can you do? Everyone worked hard and played hard especially during the wetlands...so much wood to carry arghhh. Oh well, I got a tan xD. The night life was ridiculous...there was so much going on around bourbon street. So many strip joints, clubs, and bars...it was crazy. I went there during the day for our last day and it looked so different. I guess it was the lack of foot traffic. Gutting houses, depsite the hard work, had some of the most memorable experiences ie. terror squad. Everyone know how much I hate drama and thats what pissed me off about the trip. I didn't have problems with anything (yes the living conditions sucked, but it was managable), but a few people blew things out of proportion and others got on each others nerves. Correction...those damned wake up calls pissed me off. I wanted to break that saxaphone. (For those that weren't there, a guy walked by everyone playing the sax...quite well actually, but I wanted to destroy that damned thing.) The greatest part of the trip was meeting so many new faces and getting to know familiar faces a little bit better. Thats pretty much it in a nutshell...I'll disclose details if you ask...maybe xD.
Yay...back to studying...one more month, so close to summer.

| I'm still annoyed at the fact a rehash version of a 2002 chinese film was choosen best picture for this years academy awards. I haven't seen it all yet, but have seen many clips completely ripped off the original. I''ve heard nothing, but good things about the film minus the occasional asian movie buff that, like I, am pissed that a remake won best picture. Where the hell is the originality these days? I mean hell, scorsese is a hell of a director, but did he have to win an award for a remake? It's absolutely pathetic. /end rant
Oh yea...I'll eventually watch the departed, but I doubt my feelings will change about the film winning best picture...

| I was skimming through the photos on my old camera before I finally put it to rest in cold storage deep within my desk. I couldn't but smile when I saw all the photos from my first year at UIC. So many memories that its nearly impossible to capture it all in a collection of photographs. Despite what has happened since then, these days have truly the best of my life. Farewell my sony DSC-P72...you have been a reliable camera these past 2.5 years. *tear*
